Safer Home Life Environment Workshops
These classes provide women, youth, and young adults with information on how to provide a safe and secure environment for their families, evaluate an individual’s home life and recommend alternatives. The classes also provide drug education classes and individual and family counseling.
“Getting Ready for Success!”
These classes provide information in writing resumes and cover letters, dressing for a job interview, dressing for success, mock interviewing with a take home recording, resume wrap-ups, keeping a job, starting a job and meeting job expectations, supervisor communication, and problem solving in the work place.
Healthy Eating and Lifestyles Classes
Women, youth, and young adults will learn how to eat balanced meals to keep their bodies strong, energized and well nourished. Fitness training will also be provided.
Civic Responsibility Workshops
This workshop teaches women, youth, and young adults the responsibility of a citizen in the community. It is comprised of actions and attitudes associated with democratic governance and social participation. Civic responsibility can include participation in government, church, volunteers and memberships of voluntary associations.
Self Awareness Workshops – “Beginning the Journey”
These workshops provide reflections on who you are and who you would like to become, discovering your true self, becoming aware of your motivations, understanding your personality type, and acknowledging your negative traits and replacing those traits with positive ones.
Self Confidence Workshops
These workshops provide information on how to have authentic confidence, how to gain confidence, how to project confidence, the importance of self-love, how to determine your values, and how to overcome fears.
These workshops help women, youth, and young adults build leadership skills and create social change through community projects. With support from leaders in the community, women, youth and young adults celebrate the heritage of individuals as leaders and realize their own power as community resources. These workshops help organizations and/or an individual grow and develop in their leadership skills, connect deeply to their purpose, build their capacity to work, strengthen their relationships, solidify their values and affect change in their communities.
Financial Planning/Budgeting Classes
Women, youth, and young adults learn about money and the economy, including how to manage, invest, and save money. They develop skills critical to being financially savvy and becoming economically independent adults.
